The Process

Our step-by-step process of the build, from start to finish.

First Step.

Crucial first step to the build.

In the beginning of a build, acquiring planning permissions and architectural drawings are the start.

Once the plans have been submitted and the drawings are ready, it may be a good time to start looking for the perfect contractor to build your desired home.
If you have approached us to provide for a quote, you can trust that the pricing will be clear and concise. Based on the drawings, we are able to break down costs, labour times and materials. This will ultimately provide a clear cost and time frame for completion.

Phase One.

In phase one, this is where the major demolition work and foundations are held.
We begin by precisely measuring and marking for the foundations. From there, trenches are dug, prepared and ultimately, filled with tonnes of concrete to complete the foundations in the ground.

In most cases, a certain part of the exsisting building will need a knock through, which would require supporting the upper part of the building until steels are ready to be placed.

After completing that stage, the base of the building and the brickwork is ready to go up, requiring scaffolding as the build gets built up.

Phase Two.

Once the brickwork is completed, phase two will swiftly commence.

This phase consists of constructing the roof structure and joisting the ground floor ceiling. Whether it is a one or two storey extension, the likelihood of placing joists is extremely likely, unless stated otherwise.

The roof structure is then erected expertly and that brings us to the next part. With extreme importance, the roof must be made water-tight to keep the weather out, and the house dry.

Phase Three.

With the house now water-tight, the external is essentially complete. With this, the next phase internally begins.

At this stage, our professional and trusted contractors come in. Plumbers and electricians working hand in hand to run pipes and cables in walls and ceilings, concealing their work.

Once the contractors are finished, everything is ready to be covered with plasterboard.

Phase Four.

Now is the time to get excited, as the finish is nearing.

This phase heavily consists of plastering. Our reliable and expert plasterer comes in and delivers a sublime plastering finish to the walls and ceilings.

Phase Five/Final Phase.

The final phase is where everything comes together, from fitting the sink and toilets to doors and lights.

This is where everything gets finished. Floors get laid, doors, skirtings, radiators and even kitchens, everything finished to a pristine condition. But, the final stage is of course the decorating, whether it is you or us, it will completely transform and finish the build.
